This policy explains what data NeuriFuel collects, why, and what you can do about it. We’ve written it to be read rather than skimmed past.
Who we are
NeuriFuel (neurifuel.com) publishes editorial content on brain health, cognitive enhancement, and nutrition. The site is run by a small independent editorial team publishing under pen names, as explained on our About page. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact hello@neurifuel.com — this is a monitored address and the correct channel for all data requests.
The short version
We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. We collect aggregate analytics to understand which articles are useful, and we use affiliate links that may set a cookie when you click them. That’s the whole picture.
What we collect
Information you give us voluntarily. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and nothing else. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list.
Comments. Comments are disabled across the site, so we collect no commenter names, emails, or IP addresses.
Automatically collected technical data. Like most websites, our server logs record IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to see which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Umami is cookieless: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser’s local storage, and stores no personal data. Visitors are counted using a rotating, server-side hashed value that cannot be traced back to an individual or linked across sites. What we see are aggregate figures — page views, referring sites, country, device type, browser. Nothing that identifies you.
Search Console. We use Google Search Console, which reports aggregate search queries that led to our pages. It does not identify individual visitors.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. NeuriFuel uses:
- Essential cookies — set by WordPress only if you log in as a site administrator. Ordinary readers are not issued cookies by us.
- Affiliate cookies — set by third-party merchants when you click a product link. See below.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading anything on this site.
Affiliate links
Some articles link to products sold by third parties. If you click such a link and make a purchase, the merchant may pay us a commission at no additional cost to you.
Mechanically: clicking an affiliate link takes you to the merchant’s site, where they typically place a cookie identifying us as the referrer. That cookie is set and read by the merchant, not by us. We do not see your purchase details, payment information, or address — we see only aggregate reports of how many referred sales occurred.
Once you leave NeuriFuel, the merchant’s own privacy policy governs your data, not ours.
Affiliate relationships never influence our conclusions. That commitment is explained in full on our About page.
Third parties who process data on our behalf
- Hostinger — our hosting provider; maintains server logs.
- Umami — processes aggregate, cookieless usage statistics.
- Google Search Console — provides aggregate search performance data.
- Affiliate networks and merchants — process referral tracking, as described above.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
How long we keep data
Emails you send us: retained as long as needed to handle the correspondence. Server logs: retained per our host’s standard schedule, typically a short rolling window. Analytics data: retained by Umami in aggregate form only, and contains nothing personally identifiable in the first place.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR). You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest: security logging by our host, and aggregate analytics that collect no personal data. Because we set no tracking cookies and process no personal data for analytics, we do not display a cookie consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, so there is nothing to opt out of. Exercising any of these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment.

Children
NeuriFuel is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Our content frequently discusses supplements and interventions that are inappropriate for minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS across the site and keep our software updated. No website can promise absolute security, and we won’t pretend otherwise — but we hold very little data that would interest anyone, which is itself a form of protection.

Articles link to research databases, journals, and other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies if you’re concerned.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data — new analytics, a newsletter, display advertising — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made quietly.
